Sun Tanning?

The babies developed Jaundice during their stay at the hospital. Jaundice is excess of Bilirubin in the blood. Jaundice is pretty common in newborn babies. The only treatment for this is to expose them to indirect Sunlight for few minutes a day, so they get better but not Sunburned...

Los bebes desarrollaron Ictericia durante su estadia en el hospital. Ictericia es exceso de Bilirubina en la sangre. Ictericia es muy comun en los recien nacidos. El unico tratamiento para esto es exponerlos a la Luz del Sol for pocos minutos durnate el dia, asi se mejoran pero no se les quema la piel...

Getting Hard - 35 Weeks

The days are passing by and it is getting tougher going through the pregnancy...I have Mild Preclamsy, which does not allow me to do much....I am on bed rest for the remaining of the pregnancy...However, the tough part is to get enough sleep through out the night...My skin is so dehydrated that itches like crazy. It does not matter how much water I drink or hydrating cream I put on...I do not think that my belly can stretch anymore...it hurts so much!!! The Doctor says it will be two and a half weeks more!!! I know the longer they are in me, the better the chances to have healthy kids...but it is tough!

Los dias estan pasando y es mas duro seguir con el embarazo...Tengo Preclamsia Leve, lo cual no me deja hacer mucho...Estoy de reposo absoluto por el resto del embarazo...Sin embargo lo mas duro es no dormir completo en las noches...Mi piel esta tan desidratada que me pica como loca. No importa cuanta agua bebo o cuanta crema hidratadora me pongo...No creo que mi barriga se pueda estrechar mas...me duele mucho!!! El Doctor dice que será dos semanas y media más!!! Yo se que lo mas que esten en mi, mas porbabilidades de tener bebes sanos...pero es duro!

Bed Rest

My blod pressure was slightly high on the latest check up and lab results confirmed mild Preclampsy...So, the Doctor recommeded bed rest to control the blood pressure and avoid toxemia...I have been on best rest for a week now...I feel rested but bored out of my mind...The good thing is that my blood pressure came down a little be, so the Doctor says that the bed rest is doing the trick of controlling it...That is good news...I want to keep these babies as long as possible, so they are born as healthy as possible...

Mi presión arterial estuvo un poco alta en el último chequeo medico y los exámenes de laboratorio confirmaron una Preclampsia leve...Asi que el Doctor me recomendó reposo absoluto para evadir posible complicaciones y una toxemia...He estado en reposo absoluto por una semana...Me siento descansada pero aburridisima...Lo bueno es que mi presión arterial ha bajado, asi que el Doctor dice que el reposo absoluto está ayudando a controlarla...Esas son buenas noticias...Yo quiero mantener estos bebes en la barriga tan cuanto sea possible para que nazcan muy saludables...

Having Fun

Nate, my Mother in Law and Em went to Pennsylvania to visit family last week...They also made a stop in Cape May, New Jersey...They had fun at the beach...I wanted to be there so badly...I love Em's family! They are so welcoming...and I also would like to experience a Summer in an East Coast beach...I have heard the Boardwalk is really nice...Nate had the opportunity to go and had fun at the rides. He also had the chance to see his cousin Nicole. They are only 8 months apart and live far away but they have a blast every time they get together...

Nate, mi suegra y Em fueron a Pennsylvania a visitar a la familia la semana pasada...Ellos también fueron a Cape May, New Jersey...Se divirtieron mucho en la playa...Yo quería estar alli...Me encanta la familia de Em porque son muy especiales conmigo...y también quería tener la experiencia de un Verano en una playa de la Costa Este...He oido que el Boardwalk es chévere...Nate tuvo la oportunidad de ir y montarse en las montañas rusas. También tuvo la oportunidad de ver a su prima Nicole. Ella es tan solo 8 meses mas grande que él y vive lejos pero los dos se divierten mucho cuando se encuentran...

28 Weeks

I lost track of time. I thought I was 30 weeks along but I am actually 28 weeks along on the Pregnancy. I had the chance to see the babies today during my Doctor's visit. They are doing great. The girl has moved to the left and her head is down. They boy has moved to the right and his feet are down. I think he is the one that is jumping in my bladder! They are already making breathing movements, which the doctor said is pretty good. Heart rates are good also. I asked him if I should expect to have them at 36 weeks. He said that he has had patients that have them as early as 32 weeks and others that go as long as 39 weeks. So, it all will depend on how the little ones and I are doing through out the weeks. I have the feeling I will pass the 36 weeks. My appointments are now more often (every other week). So, we will get to see them more. This has been a very different pregnancy but good overall for a twins one. I have lost 5 Lbs in comparison to my last visit but the Doctor says is due to water retention. He said that I have lost those pounds because I had a lot of retained water on the last visit. I have gained only 19 Lbs so far through out the pregnancy.

Perdí cuenta del tiempo. Creia que tenia 30 semanas de embarazo, pero tengo 28. Tuve la oportunidad de ver a los bebes hoy durante la visita médica. Los bebes estan muy bien. La hembrita se ha movido hacia la izquierda y tiene la cabeza hacia abajo. El varon se ha movido a la derecha y tiene los pies hacia abajo. Pienso que él es el que esta saltando en mi vejiga! Ya estan haciendo movimientos respiratorios, lo cual dijo el doctor es muy bueno. Los latidos del corazón estan bien. Le pregunté si deberia hacerme la idea de que los voy a tener a las 36 semanas. El me dijo que él ha tenido pacientes que han tenido morochos a las 32 semanas, pero otras que los han tenido a las 39 semanas. Asi que todo depende de como los bebes y yo estamos durante las siguientes semanas. Yo tengo el presentimiento de que voy a pasar las 36 semanas. Las visitas medicas son mas seguidas ahora (una semana si y una no). Asi que los veremos mas seguido. Este ha sido un embarazo diferente, pero bien dentro de lo que es un embarazo de morochos. Perdi 2.5 Kg desde la última visita, pero el médico dice que el es debido a que tenia mucha retención de agua la última vez que me vió. Solo he ganado 9.5 Kg en todo el embarazo.
