Una nueva jornada

We had the IVF done on January 16 2008. The Doctor placed two embrios in my uterus and we got the results today...I thought I would never say this again. I am pregnant! I could not be happier...We have to wait until February 15 to find out how many babies there are...I am so excited but also scared....Please, pray for us as we still need to make it through 12 weeks...

Hicimos el IVF en Enero 16 2008. El Doctor coloco dos embriones en mi utero y obtuvimos los resultados hoy...Pense que nunca diria esto otra vez. Estoy embarazada! No puedo estar mas contenta...Tenemos que esperar hasta Febrero 15 para saber cuantos bebes tenemos...Estoy muy contenta pero tambien asustada...Por favor, recen por me porque tenemos todavia que pasar las 12 semanas...

Una Buena Amiga

I received one of the nicest e-mails this week. My good friend from College, Mary Pili, contacted me through and sent me her phone number in Venezuela. I called her and we talked for a long time yesterday...we had a lot to say...a lot of updates...we have not talked in at least 5 years...Her call made me really happy and nostalgic at the same time...I miss my old friends from Venezuela. We were a good group: Mary Pili, Maria, Maria Matilde y Cesar...We used to hang around, study and party together...I miss you guys!

Having Fun

Nathan practiced his piano lessons today. It was fun to see him playing..He found the sounds keys and incorporated different sounds to his practice...He also pretended to be playing while the keyboard was going by itsefl. He made me laugh...

Mom, what is s-e-x - Sex?...that was the question that Nathan threw at me today after giving him a bath...Boy, I did not see that one coming and let me tell you I was not prepared for that either...I do not think all the parenting manuals out there prepare you for some of the questions that your kids may ask you...I always thought that I would get that question from Nathan and always prepared myself mentally to anwser it...but I never thought it was going to be this early! I sweated a little be and thought for a moment before answering ...all I could say is that sex was an act of love between two people that were married, and I left it like that...He smiled and then proceeded to say: "I want to know all abou it. Please, tell me nore" I repeated my answer and left the bathroom to call Mom and Emil to laugh a little be...I think that is the beauty of childhood...you are so innocent that the simplest answer to a question like this makes you happy...I am still laughing at his question...

Mama que es s-e-x-o - Sexo?...esa fue la pregunta que me lanzo Nathan hoy despues de darle un baño...No me lo esperaba y tampoco estaba preparada para esa pregunta tampoco...No creo que todos los manuales de padres no te preparan para algunas de las preguntas que tus hijos te hacen...Siempre pense que llegaria el momento para esa pregunta y me prepare mentalmente para responderla...pero nunca pense que seria tan temprano!...Sude un poco y pense antes de responderle...todo lo que se me ocurrio decir es que sexo es un acto de amor entre dos personas que estan casadas, y lo deje asi...El sonrio y me dijo: "Quiero samber todo sobre eso. Por favor, dime mas" Repeti mi respuesta y deje el baño to call Mom y Emil para reirme un poco...creo que esa es la belleza de la niñez...eres tan inocente que la respuesta mas sencilla a una pregunata como esta te hace feliz....Todavia me estaoy riendo de su pregunta...

First Piano Lesson

We found a piano teacher for Nathan and he got his first piano lesson today...she seems a good teacher...now we have to fit his lessons and practices to our busy schedule...Oh boy!

Encontramos una profesora de piano para Nathan y hoy le dieron su primera clase...ella parece una biena profesora...ahora tenemos que encontrar tiempo para sus clases y practivas en nuestro ocupado horario...Hay Dios Mio!

Santa and Baby Jesus (Venezuelan Tradition) brought this keyboard to Nathan on Christmas Day. I am signing him up into piano lessons next week. I am hoping Nathan likes this new "toy". He loves singing...those that know him closely may have experience listening to him while he is in the bathroom...it is funny! So, I am hoping that learning how to play the keyboard over the next years will turn a really neat experience for him...I had the support to learn to play guitar and I wish I took advantage of it...I am too old now...but I love singing... I guess Nathan took after me on that area...

Santa y el Niño Jesus (Tradición Venezolana) le trajeron este piano a Nathan durante las Navidades. Lo voy a inscribir en clases de piano la proxima semana. Espero que a Nathan le guste su nuevo "juguete". A él le gusta cantar...aquellos que lo conocen de cerca han experimentado oirlo mientras canta en el baño...es gracioso! Asi que espero que el aprendizaje de aprender a tocar el piano sea una buena experiencia par él durante los proximos años...Yo tuve el apoyo de aprender a tocar guitarra y desearia que hubiese tomado ventaja de eso...Estoy muy vieja ahora...pero me gusta cantar...Parece que Nathan sacó eso de mi...

New Years Day

I got up feeling like going to the Coast yesterday. So, we headed to the Coast at around 11:00 am and made over there by 1:30 pm. We went to Cambria and San Simeon for a change (We always go to San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay and Los Osos). I had never been in Cambria. It is a beautiful little town. We ate at a place called Robin's Restaurant. I like the food. Emil did not think too much of it. We walked the town and sightsaw several art stores. We also walked a trail along the Coast. I loved the view. Much better than Montana de Oro. Then, we headed to San Simeon Beach State Park. We walked along the beach and we got to see a dead Elephant Seal, and another one making noises and splashing in the water. Those things are huge! Then, we headed home and finished our date at Red Lobster. Yummy!

Me pare con la energia de ir a la Costa ayer. Asi, que nos fuimos a la Costa a las 11:oo am y llegamos alla a la 1:30 pm. Fuimos a Cambria y San Simeon para cambiar un poco (siempre vamos a San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay y Los Osos). Nunca he estado en Cambria. Es un pueblito bien bonito. Comimos en un lugar llamado Robin's Restaurant. Me gusto la comida. Emil no le gusto mucho. Paseamos por el pueblito y entramos a varias tiendas de arte. Caminamos a lo largo de la Costa. Me enamore de el panorama. Mucho mejor que Montana de Oro. Luego fuimos a la Playa de San Simeon. Caminamos por la orilla de la playa y vimos una Morsa muerta y otra haciendo ruidos y chapoteando en el agua. Esos animales son enormes! Finalmente, regresamos a casa y terminamos nuestra cita en Red Lobster. Yummy!

Another Year

Yesterday was time of reflection...Another year has passed...I looked back to my life and 2007 was overall a good year...I can not complain...I have been through rough times during life since early age, and that is what makes me appreciate what I have today...I am truly happy and in peace with my past...It was a 30 + years journey to get where I am today...and I am looking forward 2008 as it may bring new things to our lives...they may not be everything that I want but sure they will be special as God has a plan for us...My New Year's resolution? Live a little more...becoming a better Mom and Wife...This song inspires how I want to live my life from now on...I wish you all a Happy 2008, and I hope all your wishes come true this year...

Ayer fue un tiempo de refleccion...Otro año ha pasado...Mire hacia el pasado y 2007 fue un buen año despues de todo...No me puedo quejar...He pasado por tiempos dificiles a traves de los años desde edad muy temprana, y eso es lo que me hace apreciar lo que tengo hoy...Estoy verdaderamente feliz y en paz con mi pasado...Ha sido una jornada de 30+ años para llegar a donde estoy hoy...y el 2008 traera nuevas cosas a nuestras vidas...quizas no sea todo lo que queremos pero estoy segura de que seran especiales porque Dios tiene un plan para nosotros...My deseo de Año Nuevo?
